European Union designs (codification)
Ordinary legislative procedure — Parliament and the Council of the EU decide together.
Through the ordinary legislative procedure at first reading, Parliament adopts its position on the Commission proposal for a regulation on European Union designs, presented as a straightforward codification of existing texts without any change in substance, as confirmed by the Consultative Working Party of the legal services of Parliament, the Council and the Commission. Parliament instructs its President to forward its position to the Council, the Commission and the national parliaments. The text records that, as an agreement was reached between Parliament and Council, Parliament's position corresponds to the final legislative act, Regulation (EU) 2026/715. Parliament adopted the text on 2026-02-10.
No committee amendments are tracked on AmendEU for this procedure; this page follows its roll-call votes in plenary instead.
