EU-Switzerland agreement on the automatic exchange of financial account information: Amending Protocol

Through this consultation procedure, in which the Council consulted Parliament under Articles 113, 115 and 218 TFEU, Parliament gives its opinion on the proposal for a Council decision on the conclusion of the Amending Protocol to the Agreement between the European Union and the Swiss Confederation on the automatic exchange of financial account information to improve international tax compliance. Parliament approves the conclusion of the Amending Protocol and instructs its President to forward its position to the Council, the Commission and the governments and parliaments of the Member States and of the Swiss Confederation.
