Summary

Through this consent procedure, Parliament gives its consent to the draft Council decision on the conclusion, on behalf of the European Union, of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, which concerns strengthening international cooperation to combat certain crimes committed by means of information and communications technology systems and the sharing of electronic evidence of serious crimes. Parliament gives its consent to the conclusion of the agreement and instructs its President to forward its position to the Council, the Commission, the governments and parliaments of the Member States and the United Nations.
