Brexit Adjustment Reserve

2025/0289(COD)·COD·Official procedure file ↗

Ordinary legislative procedure — Parliament and the Council of the EU decide together.

Summary

Through the ordinary legislative procedure at first reading, Parliament adopts its position on the Commission proposal for a regulation amending Regulation (EU) 2021/1755 as regards the amounts allocated to the Member States under the Brexit Adjustment Reserve. The text records that an agreement was reached between Parliament and the Council, so Parliament's position corresponds to the final legislative act, Regulation (EU) 2026/211. Parliament calls on the Commission to refer the matter to Parliament again if it replaces or substantially amends its proposal, and instructs its President to forward its position to the Council, the Commission and the national parliaments. This position was adopted on 2025-12-16.

No committee amendments are tracked on AmendEU for this procedure; this page follows its roll-call votes in plenary instead.
