This is a non-legislative procedure on concluding an agreement between the European Union and the Swiss Confederation on the transfer of passenger name record (PNR) data for preventing, detecting, investigating and prosecuting terrorist offences and serious crime. The amendments split between giving and refusing Parliament's consent, with the refusal arguing that PNR data from airline reservation systems should not be collected, searched, analysed and shared with third countries indiscriminately and without reasonable suspicion.
