Amending Regulation (EU) No 904/2010 as regards the access of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) and the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) to value added tax information at Union level
This consultation procedure amends Regulation (EU) No 904/2010 to give the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) and the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) access to VAT information at Union level. The amendments frame access to systems such as VIES and CESOP through Eurofisc, limit it to targeted searches barring generalised or untargeted queries, and add data protection safeguards, interoperability, and reporting to the European Parliament and national parliaments.
