Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): BLOSS Michael (Greens/EFA)
Summary

This procedure concerns the simplification of technical requirements and testing procedures for motor vehicles (Omnibus IX on automotive). The amendments touch on Euro 7 emission limits and type-approval, CO2, fuel and energy consumption monitoring (including OBFCM and OBM), brake particle emissions, battery durability, tachograph and driving-time exemptions for large motor caravans and vehicles up to 4.25 tonnes, category definitions for highly efficient and small electric vehicles, vehicle-to-grid and cybersecurity of connected vehicles, and driving-licence rules, with several amendments seeking to reduce burdens on manufacturers, SMEs and drivers and to avoid duplicative testing.
