2023 and 2024 Commission reports on Montenegro

2025/2020(INI)·10th term·AFET·INI
Summary

This own-initiative report concerns the 2023 and 2024 Commission reports on Montenegro. Amendments cite the Istanbul Convention and the World Press Freedom Index, and revise recitals on judging each candidate against the Copenhagen criteria and 'fundamentals', Montenegro having opened all 33 acquis chapters, the EU as its biggest trading partner and investor, and foreign malign influence and disinformation linked to Russia and China.

9 roll-call votes

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
