9 roll-call votesIn plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →

- Amendment 5Motion for a resolution · Paragraph 3 a (new)Amendment
3a. Expresses serious concern about the consequences that Ukraine’s accession to the EU would have for the CAP and the EU budget; underlines that Ukraine’s agricultural sector, characterised by extremely low production costs, large holdings and weaker environmental, social and animal welfare standards, would inevitably create unfair competition for EU farmers and jeopardise the viability of small and medium-sized farms; warns that the integration of Ukraine into the CAP framework would dilute direct payments, undermine the current system of area-based payments for existing beneficiaries and destabilise rural economies throughout the Union; stresses that the current EU budgetary framework is…

Deplores the budgetary revision of the CAP, entailing a reduction of more than 20 % in nominal terms and close to 50 % in real terms in the post-2027 EU multiannual financial framework; strongly denounces the drift towards centralisation of funding streams; warns, in the strongest possible terms, that any attempt to merge the CAP with cohesion, regional development or fisheries programmes would deprive the agricultural sector of its autonomy and gravely undermine farmers’ interests;
- Amendment 7Motion for a resolution · Paragraph 8 a (new)Amendment
8a. Calls for the European Green Deal and related legislation to be repealed given their central role in weakening farming productivity in the EU and irreparably harming the economic and social development of rural areas;
- Amendment 8Motion for a resolution · Paragraph 27 a (new)Amendment
27a. Regrets, in this regard, that the EU-Mercosur free trade agreement, in its final version, will undermine the competitiveness and sustainability of EU agriculture by allowing imports of agri-food products produced under lower environmental, social and animal welfare standards than those required in the EU; stresses that such an agreement will increase unfair competition for EU farmers, especially in sensitive sectors such as beef, poultry and sugar; calls on the Commission to block the ratification of the EU-Mercosur agreement until binding and enforceable sustainability guarantees are included, ensuring full reciprocity of standards and effective safeguard mechanisms to protect the EU’s…

Ha. whereas the convergence of direct payments, both within and between Member States, is essential to guarantee fair support conditions for farmers and to ensure fair competition on the single market; stresses that direct payments represent a stable and predictable share of annual farm income, and that their fair distribution across the Union is indispensable to prevent land abandonment, provide specific support to new and young farmers, and safeguard the economic viability of agriculture and regional cohesion;
- Amendment 10Motion for a resolution · Paragraph 3 a (new)Amendment
3a. Stresses that European farmers, regardless of their region, comply with the same rules under the CAP, including environmental and climate requirements, while competing on the same single market; calls, therefore, for both external and internal convergence of direct payments across the EU, in order to ensure that farmers in all Member States receive equal support and can compete under fair and balanced conditions, while strengthening regional cohesion and fair competition;
