Security of energy supply in the EU

An own-initiative report on the security of energy supply in the EU. The amendments frame energy security as a building block of a competitive economy, stress that the EU imports more than 60% of its energy including most of its gas, and call for diversified supply, cross-border interconnectors and increased domestic and renewable production such as geothermal, biomethane and marine energy; they also address subsidiarity over Member States' energy mix.
