Amendments to Parliament’s Rules of Procedure concerning the declaration of input (Article 8 of Annex I to the Rules of Procedure)

Through this amendment to Parliament's own Rules of Procedure, Parliament decides to amend Article 8 of Annex I concerning the declaration of input. The amendment specifies that rapporteurs must list, in an annex to their report or opinion, the interest representatives falling within the scope of the Interinstitutional Agreement on a mandatory transparency register, as well as representatives of public authorities of third countries, including their diplomatic missions and embassies, from whom they received input on matters pertaining to the file that they included in their report or opinion. Parliament notes that the amendment will enter into force on the first day of the next part-session, and instructs its President to forward the decision to the Council and the Commission for information.
