This procedure sets out findings and recommendations of the Special Committee on the European Democracy Shield. The amendments address foreign information manipulation and interference, disinformation, online platforms and their algorithms, media freedom, and the European Centre for Democratic Resilience. They also raise Russia, election interference (including in Moldova), the Digital Services Act and Digital Markets Act, AI-generated deepfakes, freedom of expression, and the neutrality of Union institutions and fact-checking funding.
