Of censure on the Commission

This was a motion of censure on the European Commission tabled by a group of Members. The motion rejects the EU-US trade deal as prejudicial, asymmetrical and non-reciprocal, and rejects the EU-Mercosur Agreement, calling on the Council not to authorise its signing. It condemns the Commission's failure to act on the Israeli Government's conduct in Gaza and calls for the immediate suspension of the EU-Israel Association Agreement, sanctions on Israel and a comprehensive arms embargo, and also condemns the Commission's failure to address the climate and social crises. Concluding that the Commission under President von der Leyen has lost its confidence, it calls for the Commission's resignation and censures it. Parliament rejected the motion on 2025-10-09.
