Mobilisation of the European Union Solidarity Fund: assistance to Romania regarding the floods at the end of May 2025, Cyprus following the wildfires in July 2025 and Spain following the wildfires in August 2025

A procedure to mobilise the European Union Solidarity Fund (EUSF) to assist Romania regarding the May 2025 floods, Cyprus following the July 2025 wildfires and Spain following the August 2025 wildfires. The amendments stress the increasing frequency and severity of floods and wildfires linked to climate change, call for faster and simplified EUSF procedures and rapid financial assistance to Romania, Cyprus and Spain, and urge investment in adaptation, prevention and resilience, with attention to the particular vulnerability of islands and Mediterranean regions.
