Summary
This Framework Decision concerns the processing and protection of personal data in police and judicial cooperation in criminal matters in the fight against terrorism. The amendments require an adequate level of protection and prior consent when transferring data to third countries, international bodies or private parties, logging of transmissions, technical and organisational security measures including encryption and self-auditing, informing the data subject, and dissuasive sanctions.
