Summary

This proposal concerns the hygiene of foodstuffs. Amendments would exempt micro-enterprises and small businesses selling directly to the final consumer, such as bakeries, butchers and market stalls, from the requirement to apply HACCP-based procedures where a company-related hazard analysis shows hazards are absent or controlled, while keeping other hygiene requirements and allowing competent authorities to decide on exemptions.
