Summary
This own-initiative report addresses the situation of fundamental rights in the European Union 2004-2008. Amendments welcome the Agency and the Charter of Fundamental Rights, and address counter-terrorism and privacy, alleged CIA renditions, non-discrimination including against Roma and on grounds of sex, disability and age, trafficking, migration and asylum, the rights of children and detainees, homelessness, and the role of national judges.
