Summary
Own-initiative report on the Green Paper on retail financial services in the Single Market. The amendments address cross-border financial services for consumers and small businesses, the local nature of retail banking, consumer protection and mobility, targeted full harmonisation versus mutual recognition, a possible '28th legal framework' such as the Common Reference Framework, product standardisation and comparability, and supervision of cross-border retail financial groups.
