Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): FLORENZ Karl-Heinz (PPE-DE)
Summary
Interim report on the scientific facts of climate change, with findings and recommendations for decision-making. Amendments dispute the scientific consensus on the human-induced origins of climate change and the role of the IPCC, citing rising sea temperatures, ocean acidification and CO2 and greenhouse gas emissions, impacts on marine ecosystems, fisheries and aquaculture, the Stern Review's cost estimates, and references to skeptical scientists and declarations.
