Summary
This own-initiative report concerns the Commission's report on the application of Directive 2001/29/EC on the harmonisation of copyright and related rights in the information society. The amendments address the balance between rightholders and consumers, copyright levies and private copying, online and peer-to-peer infringement, the three-step test, the Europeana project, the creative industries, and call for further analysis of the directive's transposition in the Member States.
