Summary
This dossier reviews the first ten years of Economic and Monetary Union and future challenges. The amendments address euro-area expansion and Slovakia, the single currency and economic interdependence, the ECB's price-stability objective and inflation from energy and food prices, productivity and growth, the Stability and Growth Pact, coordination of economic, tax and monetary policy, the Lisbon Strategy, income and wealth distribution, and the euro's international role.
