Summary

Own-initiative report on effective enforcement of judgments in the EU through the transparency of debtors' assets. The amendments address cross-border debt recovery as an internal market problem, the absence of a Europe-wide register of debtors' assets, a manual on enforcement via the European Judicial Network, access to commercial, population, social security and tax registers, the right to privacy, debtor's declarations, and a possible European Assets Declaration.
