Summary
An own-initiative report on a common immigration policy for Europe: principles, actions and tools. Amendments rework recitals on regular and irregular migration, cooperation with third countries of origin and transit, the integration of migrants, asylum and the Common European Asylum System, demographic and labour-market needs, migrant remittances, civil society and migrant organisations, and the European Pact on Immigration and Asylum, referencing the Lisbon Treaty and codecision.
