Summary
An own-initiative report on a European Economic Recovery Plan. Many amendments are deletions; the substantive ones address the financial and capital markets crisis, loss of confidence and failures of financial institutions, overhauling the regulatory and governance framework, the link between economic and ecological crises, exceptional public intervention, EU coordination of short-term measures with long-term restructuring of financial, taxation and energy systems, and the role of the euro.
