Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): ROMEVA I RUEDA Raül (Verts/ALE)
Summary
This own-initiative report concerns the gender aspects of the economic downturn and financial crisis. Amendments argue that the crisis affected male-dominated sectors first and female-dominated sectors in a second wave, that responses and recovery plans lacked a gender dimension, and that women are under-represented in economic and financial decision-making, raising care services, the gender pay gap, domestic violence intensifying during the crisis, entrepreneurship and gender mainstreaming.
