Summary
This own-initiative report concerns the funding and functioning of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF). The amendments address countering the adverse impact of globalisation on workers affected by collective redundancies, the economic and financial crisis, modest use of appropriations and Member States that have not used the EGF, the co-financing rate raised from 50% to 65%, identifying beneficiaries' status under national labour law, and availability of reliable implementation data.
