Summary
Own-initiative report on the contribution of EU policies promoting equality between men and women in combating youth crime. Amendments discuss gender equality in the labour market and the gender pay gap in relation to juvenile delinquency, the primary role of parents and caregivers, fair-trial rights of juvenile suspects, the socioeconomic aspects of delinquency, and forms of juvenile delinquency including violence, exposure to pornography via the Internet and substance abuse.
