External dimension of social policy, promoting labour and social standards and the European Corporate Social Responsibility

This own-initiative report concerns the external dimension of social policy, labour and social standards and European Corporate Social Responsibility. Amendments call for a social clause based on ILO core labour standards in EU trade agreements, better enforcement of social provisions and GSP-Plus conditionality, moving CSR beyond a voluntary approach toward legal obligations, cooperation with trade unions, NGOs and the ILO, and combating social dumping and child labour.
