Combating illegal fishing at the global level - the role of the EU

This dossier concerns combating illegal fishing at the global level and the role of the EU. The amendments address illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing as a threat to biodiversity, fish stocks and food security, traceability of fishery products, banning 'flags of convenience' and imports from non-compliant states, port State measures, cooperation with developing countries and other market States, withholding aid from the European Fisheries Fund, and a point-based fishing licence.
