Summary

A proposed regulation increasing European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) contribution rates for certain Member States. Amendments tie the temporary increase to the global financial crisis and Member States facing serious difficulties, allow the EAFRD contribution rate to rise up to 95% of eligible public expenditure, provide for immediate entry into force, and require Member States to request a modification of their rural development programme.
