Summary
This dossier concerns the proposed Common European Sales Law. The amendments range from outright rejection of the Commission proposal to confining the optional instrument to distance/online contracts between traders and consumers, excluding contracts involving credit or insurance, and requiring informed consumer consent, a model-contract 'toolbox', total-price and exchange-rate disclosure, unfair-term rules, and review of the Regulation after five years.
