Summary
This own-initiative report concerns a roadmap for moving to a competitive low carbon economy in 2050. The amendments focus on reforming the ETS, including setting aside allowances to restore scarcity, modifying the annual linear reduction requirement, introducing a reserve price for auctioning allowances and including transport, alongside provisions on the 80-95% greenhouse gas reduction ambition by 2050 and international negotiations.
