New strategy for consumer policy

Own-initiative report on a new strategy for consumer policy. The amendments focus on consumer protection in financial services, vulnerable consumers, financial education and inclusion and access to basic banking, the limits of disclosure and need for transparency, the role of the European Supervisory Authorities, protection in cross-border and online transactions, collective redress and Alternative Dispute Resolution, and bank account portability.
