Reporting obligations under Regulation (EC) No 2371/2002 on the conservation and sustainable exploitation of fisheries resources under the CFP

An own-initiative report on reporting obligations under the regulation on the conservation and sustainable exploitation of fisheries resources under the Common Fisheries Policy. The amendments address shortcomings of the current CFP and the TAC and quota system, long-term management plans grouped by geographical fishing regions with a separate regime for small-scale coastal fisheries, the ecosystem approach and harvest control rules, discards, and the lack of reliable scientific data.
