Summary
Legislative dossier on conserving fishery resources through technical measures to protect juveniles of marine organisms, including herring for industrial purposes. The amendments set technical conservation measures based on advice from ICES and STECF, covering minimum landing and mesh sizes for the Black Sea turbot fishery, protection of cod, haddock and whiting in the Celtic and Irish Seas, rules on trammel, gill and entangling nets, and return of undersized organisms.
