Summary
This own-initiative report concerns the microbial challenge of rising threats from antimicrobial resistance. The amendments address the use of antimicrobials in human and veterinary medicine, prophylactic use in animal husbandry, prescription rules, infection prevention and hygiene, vaccines, surveillance systems, education and awareness, the 'One Health' approach, and the link between antimicrobial use in animals and resistance in humans, referencing WHO and OIE lists.
