Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): HONEYBALL Mary (S&D)
Summary
The dossier concerns education, training and Europe 2020. Amendments stress investing in lifelong learning to meet the Europe 2020 targets despite budgetary consolidation, matching training to labour-market demands, certification and recognition of qualifications, vocational guidance, and access for vulnerable groups and persons with disabilities; they address youth unemployment and the 'guarantee for young people', traineeships and apprenticeships, early school-leaving, and cooperation between education establishments and business.
