Implementation of citizenship education actions

2021/2008(INI)·9th term·CULT·INI - Own-initiative procedure·CompletedProcedure completed
Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): RUIZ DEVESA Domènec (S&D)
Summary

The dossier concerns the implementation of citizenship education actions. The amendments address education as a fundamental right, the multilevel scope of citizenship education from local to European and global levels, its adaptation to changes such as the climate crisis and the digital shift, democratic engagement, and respect for Member States' competence over the content of education.

Plenary votes

14 roll-call votes

In plenary, Parliament usually votes in steps: first on amendments to the text (sometimes split into parts, so Members can accept one half of a sentence and reject the other), then on the text as a whole. The “main vote” is the one that adopts or rejects the text itself. Each vote below shows exactly which step it was. How voting works →
