Summary
This own-initiative report is the annual report on human rights and democracy in the world for 2011 and the EU's policy on the matter. The amendments cite the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Charter of Fundamental Rights, the International Criminal Court and Rome Statute, the Convention against Torture, UN resolutions on extreme poverty and on discrimination based on religion or belief, the rule of law and an independent judiciary.
