Connected TV

The dossier concerns Connected TV. Amendments address media convergence between broadcasting and the Internet, hybrid devices combining linear and non-linear audiovisual services on one screen, audiovisual media as cultural and economic goods, the need for an independent regulatory framework, findability and recommendation of services, intellectual property rights, broadband coverage, and the objectives of the Audiovisual Media Services Directive including media pluralism, protection of children and advertising rules.
