Surveillance of the external sea borders in the context of operational cooperation coordinated by the European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders of the Members States

A proposed regulation on surveillance of the external sea borders coordinated by the European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders. Amendments address the Common Security and Defence Policy, define 'place of safety', and set rules on interception, disembarkation and return in territorial seas and on the high seas, search and rescue, smuggling of migrants, the needs of vulnerable persons, and onboard safety equipment.
