Summary
This dossier concerns the deployment of the interoperable EU-wide eCall service. The amendments address deployment of the Public Safety Answering Point infrastructure, filtering of non-emergency assistance calls, the Memorandum of Understanding, awareness-raising campaigns by the Commission and Member States, compatibility with the EGNOS and Galileo satellite navigation programmes, data protection and use of data exclusively for rescue purposes, caller location for 112 calls, and Member States' organisation of emergency services.
