Summary

This consent-procedure file concerns the adoption by Latvia of the euro on 1 January 2014. Amendments revise provisions on Latvia's efforts to overcome the financial crisis and meet the convergence criteria, the Commission and ECB assessments of long-term sustainability, prudent fiscal policy, poverty and income inequality, energy-import dependency and price stability, the banking sector and non-resident deposits, tax reform, and public support for the euro.
