Rapporteur (the Member appointed to lead Parliament's work on this text): BROK Elmar (PPE)
Summary
This own-initiative report responds to the Council's annual report on the common foreign and security policy in 2012. The amendments rework assessments of a changing multi-polar world order and the EU's founding values of democracy, the rule of law and human rights, urge Member States to act jointly in multilateral fora including the United Nations, and address Parliament's scrutiny and the VP/HR's 'Comprehensive Approach' to the CFSP and CSDP.
