Summary

This own-initiative report concerns social protection for all, including self-employed workers. Amendments treat social security as a Member State competence and a key element of the European social model, address the effects of the crisis and public-expenditure cuts, gaps in coverage for new and self-employed workers, bogus self-employment, social dumping, pension rights, and modernising systems on principles of universal access and non-discrimination.
