Summary
An own-initiative report on the local and regional consequences of the development of smart grids. The amendments describe smart grids as a convergence of the energy and ICT sectors, integrating renewable energy, distributed generation, electric vehicles and storage, and address standards, interoperability, data protection for consumers, private investment, distribution system operators (DSOs) and unbundling, the third energy market package and the Energy Roadmap 2050.
