Summary
This own-initiative report concerns the private sector and development. Amendments stress that under Article 208 TFEU the primary objective of EU development cooperation is to reduce and eradicate poverty, debate the role of the private sector, public-private partnerships, blending and microcredit, corporate social responsibility and the UN Guiding Principles, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, untying of aid, and the relationship between development, security and trade policy.
