Summary
A legislative proposal amending prudential requirements for credit institutions and investment firms regarding securitisation. The amendments debate securitisation's role and risks since the financial crisis, regulatory capital requirements and calculation methods, simple, transparent and standardised (STS) securitisations including those backed by loans to SMEs, reliance on external ratings versus internal models, risk weight floors, and the EBA report on qualifying securitisations.
