Summary
This own-initiative report examines the impact of developments in European defence markets on security and defence capabilities in Europe. Amendments address consolidating a European defence market and security of supply, concern over uncoordinated defence budget cuts and external dependencies, threats including terrorism and hybrid war, implementation of the 2009 Defence Package directives, and joint procurement through the European Defence Agency.
