Summary
An own-initiative report on the European defence technological and industrial base (EDTIB). Amendments stress its role for jobs, growth and innovation amid reduced defence budgets, address exports to third countries and transfer of sensitive technologies, the interests of SMEs, the European Defence Agency and its Capability Development Plan, fragmentation of demand, cooperation with NATO, common standardisation and certification, and security of supply.
